The human body is one of the most celebrated forms in art. The medical artist is often required to visually explain the human body in a healthy, injured or diseased state. Medical artists have extensive training in anatomy and related sciences as well as art technique and theory. They graduate with either a Masters of Science or Masters of Art degree.
This illustration received a Certificate of Merit - Medical Color from an Association of Medical Illustrators juried exhibit.
